About Hong Kong Energy Saving Charter
To encourage community-wide participation in energy saving, the
Hong Kong SAR Government has launched an Energy Saving
Charter Scheme in 2013. More than 120 shopping malls with 550
retail shop spaces have committed to maintain an average indoor
temperature of between 24°C and 26°C from June to September so
as to reduce energy consumption due to air-conditioning.
